All Saint's Holiday

This evening, after driving around for almost an hour to find an alternate route to the cemetery because the main road was blocked, I was able to see the Klaipeda cemetery alight with candles in honor of All Saint's Day. It was beautiful - the headstones had candles and flowers in front of them, and the moonlight was just soft enough to make it eerie to walk among the graves. It was also very, very cold - a whopping -12° C (11° F) with some snow predicted later tonight. For this reason, we were only there for a few minutes - long enough for me to snap some photos and enjoy the scenery before hopping back in the car and heading to El Dorado for pizza and coffee.

The week off is going well. I've spent time with friends and have been enjoying the Hallmark channel on television - quality English language entertainment ;) Also, my family comes to visit me in two weeks, which is going to be so very exciting. I can't wait to show my siblings Klaipeda and have them meet my dearest friends. Also, I finally get to show my parents what I do for LCC and have them see the school and take them to the new places I've discovered, etc. A good time will be had by all, I hope. I so look forward to it!
