So apparently I never found time to write Part 2 of the Honeymoon Adventure, so I'll just say Maui was wonderful - we had a great time, we did get our Open Water Certification for SCUBA and though I thought it would be terrifying at first, I found I was more at ease under the water able to see all around me clearly rather than just snorkeling and seeing whatever was below my face floating on the surface. I'll definitely enjoy scuba-ing in the future - though I will require clear water, because the "unknown" factor in being underwater was the thing I was most scared about to begin with, so no kelp forest scuba for me. We got to swim with sea turtles and other fun aquatic life on a beach dive to a sunken pier, and our guide had a great underwater camera that took fantastic photos. The turtles were so cute!! I'll edit this and post a photo when I figure out where those photos went...
In more recent news, Jason and I are renting a house in Lompoc and we're slowly improving the odd and/or outdated look of some features. For example, Jason has improved the garage with a fresh coat of paint on the walls, epoxy coating for the floor and expanded the existing work bench! It looks fantastic! Before and after photos coming soon...along with photos of our new bedroom window treatment. There were these awful vertical blinds in there before, and they were not only ugly, but they were broken, so we couldn't even open them! This past weekend we picked up some mini-blinds and sheer curtains and transformed the drab wall from "patio door" to "warm & cozy" - I just love it! I took before and after photos, so those will go on asap too.
It's late as I'm writing this, so I think I'll head to bed, but I'll definitely try and write on this more often!
