Harry Potter & the Burrito of Destiny
So, I've still not started packing and I leave in less than two weeks and counting. I'm getting all the documents necessary in order and have been trying to clean my room for the last few weeks with no result to show for it. I'm a messy kid apparently. I spent a great few days with Travis and have plans to see some friends before I leave. Santa Barbara is on the list - I've got to say bye and have Chipotle for the last time in a long while. I am going to miss those burritos like a small, delicious brother.
Travis' friend Dore is having a Harry Potter Party in honor of his (Harry's) birthday at the end of July, where everyone has to dress up like a character from the books...and Travis and I are going. Now I have to come up with a character to be and not just wear my Slytherin shirt, so it'll be interesting. Update: Hilarity did ensue, so here is one picture (more to come) - Travis is Mad-Eye Moody and I'm Madam Hooch (the defense against the dark arts teacher and flight instructor, respectively)

Welcome!
Well hello there! Welcome to the bloggy blog! I'll be updating it as much as possible, or at least when there's something worth reporting :)
I leave for Lithuania in a little over three weeks...and it's surreal. I'm excited and anxious at the same time, looking forward to the challenge and yet wary of the long time away from home. I know that some of my family will be able to visit me while I'm there, so I don't think homesickness will be unbearable. Plus, I'm looking forward to seeing the friends who are still at LCC, so their presence will help with the familiarity of the place.
